A Question of Faith
Have you ever tried to put into words the answer to the question, “What or who is God?” In every corner of the world, there’s one question that can never be definitively answered, yet stirs up equal parts passion, curiosity, self-reflection and often wild imagination: What is God? Filmmaker Peter Rodger explores this profound, age-old query in the provocative nonfictional DVD Oh My God. Just watching the trailer for the movie started me thinking… How do you answer the question? What stories would your movie tell? What picture... [Read more]
Simple Steps to Finding Peace
Today I was reminded of a poem that has hung prominently in every home I’ve ever lived in…”Desiderata”. Prayer works. During a difficult time in my personal life I re-discovered... [Read more]
Why? Because I can!
When I pay attention, I see and hear lessons I am intended to learn. I’ve experienced some wondrous reminders of the power of my thoughts to change my world… One came in the form of a visit from two friends I don’t see very often, who, like me, have experience in the world of hospitality. The other came in the form of a few amazing blossoms expanding on a delicate orchid that my partner, Bill, gave me for my birthday back in February. Over a delightful breakfast, my girlfriends and I shared some “war” stories about our service days... [Read more]
