Can I think my way to financial success? Napolean Hill says YES!

I began the practice of listening to motivational teleclasses and books on tape in my car a few years ago. I’ve been listening to Napolean Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” as I drive the past few days, and the affect it is having is nothing short of amazing!

I read the book (or at least most of it) a couple of years ago. Maybe I wasn’t ready to hear the message, maybe I was distracted…whatever it is, listening to it now, I GET IT!

Affirmations work. Prayer works.

During a difficult time in my personal life I re-discovered the “Serenity Prayer” and I recited it out loud over and over and over, and it kept me sane. Reciting that prayer kept me focused and pulled me forward to living a life I love, full of serenity. Strangers even notice it and comment about my calm, soothing demeanor.

So why wouldn’t I believe, as Napolean Hill did, that I can think my way to financial success?

Simple. My limiting beliefs about money, my “money story” got in the way.

And I know, from past experience, that to make that story and those beliefs go away, I have to replace them with a new one.

The ONLY way to do that, is to tell myself the new story over and over and over again. That affirmation, that prayer, will pull me forward to the financial success I desire.

My affirmation starts like this:

I desire with all my heart and soul to make money…

Will you join me? Share your affirmation with me, too. I’d love to hear it.

I Am Limitless. Are You?

I am Limitless. Are You?

Since beginning this renewed self-discovery journey I have latched on to a few words that have become part of my regular conversation. And many people in my circles have played with the idea of a “word of the year” or a “theme of the year”.

My coach and mentor, Heather Dominick, invited us to Claim our CVO, Core Value Offer, at the beginning of the EnergyRich Business Boot Camp. And the evolution of that word was quite an intense assignment for me and for the group. (more on that later…)

So when I opened up a magazine from my alma mater, Cornell University, and saw an ad directed a potential new students with the headline “I am Limitless” I had to smile.

I was impressed that we had evolved in education advertising to a place of speaking about the possibilities that come from the Cornell University experience, not just about the degree a student receives. I can almost hear Napolean Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich”, addressing the students.

And I promptly cut out the expression to add to my “Wisdom Wall”, and hung it directly across from my desk, among the collection of affirmations I look to each day.

I am limitless.

What does that really mean?

“Inspiring possibility and Empowering Prosperity” is the tagline on the header of my webpage, http://wisewellwomen.com.  Is that “limitless”?

Sure. Being limitless means being open to all possibilities. Being limitless means to consider all options. Being limitless means to relax all boundaries. Being limitless means that I faith in divine guidance, whatever that may be.

In Dictionary.com I found this:
lim·it·less [lim-it-lis] –adjective without limit; boundless; Having no limit or limits; unrestricted.
And synonyms: unbounded, measureless, unending, countless, borderless, unrestrained, unconfined.

Read it outloud: I am limitless.

You can’t help but feel uplifted, can you?

I feel my head lift up and chest expand just by saying it.

And I believe!

In that moment, I believe that anything is possible. And that means, I am limitless.

Amazing, isn’t it… the power of a string of words?

So the next time you catch yourself expressing something that sounds like:

I am too _____________ to ever be successful, or

I just can’t __________________ because I’m just ___________. STOP.

And remember:  I am limitless.

And you will create amazing possibilities in your life!

I wish you well!
