For quite some time now I’ve focused a fair amount of my energy on creating a unique presence on the internet through this blog-site, The Wise Well Woman’s Way. It began as simply an online journal, holding the story of my personal transformation from the life of a crazed, stress junkie and corporate executive, to my dream of being a creative entrepreneur, living in joy, peace and calm. Now, this blog is the container for everything that is my growing business, in addition to the recording of the story of my journey.
Those who know me have been telling me for a while that if they want to know anything about the simplest, most straightforward way to learn or complete any task online, they ask me. They hope I’ve had experience with it, and look to me to share my wisdom and to make a recommendation they can trust. Usually, I can, at the very least, point them in the right direction for high value, top quality support and advice for entrepreneurial business mastery.
I used to consider it a curse that I had this yearning to be what I call a voracious information gatherer. My creative brain drives me to scan my environment constantly and to absorb a ton of information. And not just about one thing– I reach out to learn about everything!
In the beginning of my journey to create an online presence, I spent an extraordinary amount of time researching and learning… too much time, frankly. I kept myself very busy, and honestly, very distracted from taking action to use the skills I was learning. In the early days, I was still hiding out, feeling like I had to do everything and learn everything on my own. Rather than taking advantage of really connecting to people who had already mastered certain pieces of the internet business building and marketing puzzle, I was still feeling like I had to have it all together to ask for help. So I would jump to the next resource looking for confirmation of what I had already begun to learn.
What I really needed to do was to begin taking action.
And the good news is, I did, and over time I learned and I grew. I got really good at finding and using tools that are highly effective, efficient and customizable to a variety of business styles. And I’ve connected to the experts that have created them and are supporting communities of business builders like me to do the same.
I began to recognize that my ability to quickly review and absorb lots of information was not a curse. It simply required that I fine-tune my focus. And it’s here that I found my greatest gift — the gift of discernment. What I’ve learned is that I have the unusual ability to understand and discriminate between complex tools and processes and to determine their value when viewed through the lens of a bigger purpose and intention.
My learning process now includes creating a limited scope for my research and then simply sticking with the resources that I have determined to be the most effective at enabling me to take direct action toward my purpose of becoming a creativity expert and growing a successful creativity coaching business. So when my friends, clients and strategic partners ask for advice, it makes it easy for me to make clear and direct recommendations with complete confidence.
And since many have already been asking me to provide these recommendations, it makes perfect sense for me to create a Wise Well Women in Business: Tips, Tricks and Tools expanded resource guide. The guide isn’t created yet, but will be coming soon as I consolidate the information. In the meantime, if you need a recommendation or have a question regarding tools for business building, simply send me an email at nanette@wisewellwomen.com with your question and I’ll be happy to provide what I know.
Already you’ve seen me make a few recommendations in blog-posts, on social media, and here on the Free Resources and Products pages. So, you can expect to see a few more in the coming weeks. And keep an eye out for more focus on quick tips for blogging success, list-building, traffic strategies and more.
Please share your favorite tools here, too, in the comments below so that all the members of the Wise Well Women community can learn together.
And don’t forget, The Art of Journaling to Grow Your Business is a marketing messaging workbook designed specifically to help you create content for all of your marketing actions, and it works really well to support your blogging activity.
Have fun and enJOY the journey –
