I picked up Brendon Burchard’s “The Millionaire Messenger” and
just can’t put it down. The subtitle captures the simple brilliance
of his message perfectly: Make a Difference and a Fortune
Sharing Your Advice.
For all the Wise Well Woman out there who are sharing your gifts with the world, teaching, healing, coaching, and inspiring in so many ways, this book is for you!
Brendon Burchard is a young man, who, like many of us, had an
awakening through a traumatic experience. In the flood of
thoughts that came to him following his accident, Brendon found
himself judging the quality of his life up to that point by three
questions: “Did I Live?”, “Did I Love?” and “Did I Even Matter?”.
From that day forward, Brendon begins living his life with
purpose. And spreading his message.
What makes this book special is not that it is yet another tale of
someone now famous who survived an accident had an epiphany,
and is now living that purpose, but rather, this book is made
special by Brendon’s willingness to pull back “The Guru Curtain”
and share with us all just what it means to be a “guru”, in real
life terms, and how others can follow in his footsteps and actually
earn a living sharing our advice and stories.
As Marci Shimoff states in her glowing endorsement of this book,
many of us “have a life story and a message that can inspire
others to live a better life or run a better business.” She goes on to
say “this book will change a lot of lives”.
Isn’t that what we coach want to do? Isn’t that why we’re here?
In the “Wise Well Woman’s Creed” I close with the phrase “she
carries a message of hope to all those in need”. That is my
mission, my vision, to “inspire possibility and empower
prosperity” for all women, especially those who don’t believe it’s
possible to live a life of their dreams. Like me, years ago, most of
them have no vision of what a dream life would even look like.
So for me, like many other teachers, coaches, experts and
“gurus”, Brendon Burchard included, “making a difference” comes
first, and making money second. Problem is, we never get to the
“make money” part. And then we never achieve our dream of
impacting many, many lives.
Armed with Brendon’s book, now we all have a chance!
This book is literally the step by step roadmap to building a
successful coaching business. I’ve already clipped out the
questions in Chapter 5 “10 steps to an Expert Empire” and
scalable plan in the chapter “The Millionaire Messenger’s Money
Map”. I’ve got my work cut out for me, for sure!
But it’s worth it.
